Proximus & Next Quarter – Working to Improve Revenue Growth

Proximus is a telecoms company located in Belgium. It offers various internet services, including Email, mobile phone, internet access, television, and phones. Proximus provides a wide array of telecommunications services and bundles for customers interested in using them. These packages are highly customizable, with customers able to choose which services they want to take advantage of.
Proximus competes with other Belgium telecoms companies, including Base and Orange Belgium. These are its main competitors. As such, the three companies are constantly competing for prices, value, and the array of services they offer.
The telecommunications industry is growing, particularly as people continue to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, despite the relative lack of competition, Proximus faces real challenges within its industry.
Unfortunately, Proximus suffered a few challenges, including a slowing of revenue growth and a lack of ability to make accurate revenue forecasts. Furthermore, their system of accountability and CRM was broken, leading to various challenges. As a result, Proximus partnered with Next Quarter to improve its forecasting and accountability.

This partnership resulted in a significantly enhanced ability to hold team members accountable and make better financial predictions.

The Challenge Proximus Faced

Proximus faced numerous challenges that existed before they contracted with Next Quarter. These included:

  • Revenue growth was slowing on a year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter basis.
  • The company reported numerous misses in terms of its revenue estimates, clearly demonstrating that its ability to forecast revenue was off.
